Eggplant with Onion

I finished this last night about 10:00. I can't describe the feeling I have about it. All I can say is I am so glad to be an artist, I love painting, it is so fullfilling to me.I have great joy in being able to capture a thing on canvas.

Pomegranates

These beauties were fun to paint. Pomegranates are one of the festive fruits of the winter time and I am always drawn to them for a painting subject, their little succulent fruits are packaged so beautifully. Oh- I like to eat them too!

Amberg,Germany River Boat

This is another painting of a scene in Germany. The name of the town is Amberg, it was the town my sister shopped at when she lived there. I got to spend several days leisurely enjoying the beautiful buildings and covered bridges in the small town. I took watercolors and sketching materials, and of course a good camera,I just wish I would have taken alot more photos. All the small towns seemed to be situated on a river. I captured this small river boat on film, it was bigger than a gondola. I have always desired to paint it and recently I have been able to scan my older slides into the computer and paint from looking at the computer screen. Which has worked out great.
