Tanyard Creek
Finally I got to go out and paint with the Plein Air Painters of the Ozarks. The location was Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista. It was wonderful to be in nature and paint again, a little overwhelming yes but fun. The waterfall had many levels to it and it was not possible for me to see much of it from just one vantage point. Right about at the end of my painting time, a young family came through and just settled in to enjoy the sound and beauty of the falls. I was able to capture a couple of them quickly and I felt the human element added a lot to this painting.

Rainy Day Tomatoes
We had a house full of people for the 4th of July that lasted about a week. I loved every minute of it, but boy was I itching to get back to painting. So Wed. morning I was planning to go paint with my plein air group in Arkansas and it rained all night and all that day. So I just went out to my deck and painted the patio tomatoes. The painting umbrella did more than protect me from the sun and I saved a half tank of gas(looking on the bright side) and who knows if I would have ever painted the patio tomatos! Rain drops and all, "Rainy Day Tomatoes" 7x7.
