Peonies and Teacup

On Thursday I had a delightful visit with friends from Colby Kansas. Colby is where I grew up and attended college. Ken Mitchel was the art-instructor there, he was a great inspiration to me. Millie and I really enjoyed reflecting on those years.

I framed this painting just a half hour before they came to visit my gallery in Grove, Oklahoma. It is now in the collection of Wayne and Millie Hollacher, of Colby Kansas.

The old two story building was once a bank with a great big sky light window two stories up, it has wonderful lighting no need for electricity until evening. It is in the home of AXA Financial, they have the doors open to the public on weekdays and welcome visitors to see the art during those hours.I am there on the Second Saturday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. I am also available by appointment ring the week. Trip to Tyler,Tx

I recently visited my sister in Tyler, TX during the Azalea Festival. It was a wonderful time, the weather was perfect for out door painting. I entered this painting in the Bartlesville show and I was pleased that it sold.
